»Santana« A unique documentation of life in primeval Atlantic 120 million years ago

This exhibition offers an overview never seen before of the world famous fossile fauna and flora of the Santana formation of the Araripe basin in the Ceará province in northeastern Brazil. The 120 million year old fossiles afford a look into life during the Cretaceous period, a time when the Atlantic was first formed and South America and Africa were close together. The exhibition is on display at the Senckenberg Natural History Museum in Frankfurt am Main thru Wednesday, 30th of September 1998 in Room 15 (Historic Geology).
