Welcome to the
Günnewig Hotel Chemnitzer Hof.
From May 1929 to October 1930 the building was constructed in the Bauhaus style according to plans drawn up by the famous architect Prof. Dr. Heinrich Straumer. Thanks to its comprehensive and careful renovation, Chemnitzer Hof is now restored to its former glory – and more modern and comfortable. The restaurant, the banquet halls and the attractive lobby have been added or rebuilt. The additons have however in no way lessened or detracted from the nobility and uniqueness of this hotel. It simply is a symbol of great architecture. The character is enhanced by the light coloured marble, artistic avant-garde sculptures and Meissen porcelain from the hotel’s early years.
