Location
The hotel is situated in the citadel quarter, the most beautiful part of Düsseldorf’s historic centre. Building development in the citadel, which had used to serve military purposes only, started in 1641. The Citadellstraße, the Bäckerstraße and the Bäckergasse were built to expand the city. Right in the heart of this lovingly restored historic core of the city there is the classicistic building no. 1 Bäckergasse – which today is the Hotel Orangerie. Surrounded by the Speesche Palais, the old Orangerie and the Maxkirche we welcome you in a historic and charming ambience.
