In the recently renovated administrator’s building of the castle there are the reception, the breakfast room as well as five four star rooms which are bathed in sunlight. Every single room has got its own charm: oak parquet floors and Italian furniture create the warm ambiance. Our rooms’ lattice windows open up a beautiful view into our park and let a gentle light into the friendly and spacious bathrooms. It goes without saying that the World Wide Web, satellite television and ISDN telephone are at your disposal. Instead of a minibar, the “Lord” (owner?) of the castle himself serves you a great variety of fresh beverages. We readily provide beds of roses for both the young and the old in love and arrange together with you an unforgettable wedding on the castles grounds. From the village of Burgellern you easily reach the famous and picturesque Franconian Switzerland with its outstanding scenery, rock formations, gently meandering streams, charming villages and numberless little breweries. Bicycle tracks go past the castle. The City of Bamberg, Cultural Heritage of the World, is at a driving distance of only 15 minutes, whereas the city of Bayreuth, famuos for the annual Wagner festival in summer, is only a 30 minute ride on the autobahn. Children are more than welcome: The grounds of the castle with old trees for climbing, concealed spots, a rushing waterfall, secret huts and an extensive meadow for romping and games is a unique adventure paradise. Not too far away from Bamberg a charming jewel from the times of the archbishops expects you: The castle of Burgellern with its wild and romantic park has opened its gates again to the public in 2006 – for our estimated guests who delight in a personal and individual ambience and want to be at ease entirely. The 18th century summer resort is located at the fringe of the lovely village of Burgellern, surrounded by the gentle hills of "Franconian Tuscany." The spacious castle grounds invite our guests to go for a relaxed stroll, relax on the grassland or go for a decent pint of beer or a delicious glass of wine in the beergarden under the shady grand old trees
