Hotel Scholz
The present owner is, Helga Scholz, is the third generation of the Scholz family to run the hotel, making it the oldest family-run hotel in Koblenz.
It was opened as a pub named "German Michel" in 1919 by the grandparents of the present owner. In 1944 during the Second World War the house was totally destroyed by bombs. Following his release as a prisoner of war her father Rudolf Scholz started to rebuild the business in 1948. The reconstruction/new building was completed in 1956. The number of rooms was increased from 12 to 30. In 1983 Mrs Helga Scholz took over the running of the hotel and it underwent a complete renovation during which all rooms were equipped with a shower, toilet, and telephone.

Hotel Scholz today has 67 rooms with 122 beds. All rooms are equipped with shower/bath, toilet, telephone and SAT TV.
