Welcome to our cottage … a small and very homey, family operated bed and breakfast hotel and boarding house located in a quiet area on the outskirts of Leipzig. Our 2-star hotel was rebuilt in 1991 and renovated in 1998. Park your car in a parking place specially reserved for you, come in and make yourself at home. Start your day with our homemade breakfast complete with eggs from our very own chickens. Our good German beer and wine from the Saale/Unstrut Region are the perfect accompaniment to a delicious midday or evening meal. You may also enjoy eating at the HISTORIC GASTHOF “ROTER LOEWE,” which is only 15 minutes away.

Rooms
We have 6 comfortable rooms (20 square meters each) on 2 floors. Each room is furnished with 2 single beds and a sofa bed, bath with shower, cable TV, mini bar, and desk, and can accommodate up to 3 people. The rooms on the upper floor also have a balcony.

Wellness and leisure
Get to know this lovely area … and whatever you do, be sure to include a visit to the birthplace (museum) of the famous philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche in Röcken, only 2 kilometers from our hotel. But no matter where your interests lie – museums, galleries, theater, wine tasting, bicycle tours or swimming – you won’t be bored when you stay with us. Other leisure activities include fishing, fitness, mountain biking and bike tours, swimming, surfing, diving, hiking, tours of the open-pit mines and the lake formed from the mine crater, Mondsee, Kulkwitzer See, Saale/Unstrut boat rides, wine country tours, war memorial, the city of Leipzig, and much, much more …

Location
By car: A 9 from the south (from the Hermsdorfer Kreuz, Hof): Exit Rippachtal – Lützen exit A9/A38 via Röcken toward Lützen. In Lützen, after the DEA station, right curve, then in 50 meters, left. A 9 from the north (from Berlin, Schkeuditzer Kreuz): Exit Bad Dürrenberg / Lützen – toward Gewerbepark. Address: Starsiedeler Str. 2. If you come by air, we would be happy to pick you up at the Leipzig/Halle Airport.
