The `Forsthaus` which has existed since 1907 has developed, within four generations in the hands of the Grotkopp family, from an outspan inn for horses and carriages, into an exquisite small family hotel at the outskirts of Luebeck.
Horst Grotkopp, the present owner who has been running the hotel since 1963 has added a new wing of 19 double rooms to the original house.
Its size allows guests to feel like friends still. The family-like atmosphere makes a lovely change to the sterility of the larger hotel chains.
